With over 15 years of dance experience in various styles, it wasn't until 2009 when Racheal Leigh discovered a love and passion for Bollywood Dancing that she never had with any other dance style before. After six months of intensive learning through dance classes and performances with a local Brisbane Bollywood Dance school, Racheal was asked to teach a
Beginners Bollywood dance class which led her to realise she loved teaching as much as she loved dancing.
For the next 10 years, Racheal taught various dance classes, festival workshops, and school incursions, as well as started Brisbane’s first professional Bollywood Dance troupe, SARI Bollywood Dance, who performed through out QLD & NSW at events such as the Gold Coast Multicultural Festival, RAW Festival, Mackay Multicultural Festival, and were regular
performers at the annual Diwali, India Fair Day, and Halloween Festivals.
In 2021, Racheal relocated to Launceston and in 2023 she re-started teaching Bollywoo Dance at Riverside as well as doing the occasional performance, around her other performing arts work through her main business, Star Rae Productions.
